Police in Derry have launched an appeal over the whereabouts of this man. (right)

The PSNI wish to speak with Sean Farley in connection to a serious assault which happened in Derry last year.

The appeal is part of the Operation Relentless - a PSNI initiative which was launched in the city last year to locate alleged offenders and people who failed to turn up for court hearings.

Speaking to the ‘Journal’, Inspector Jon Burrows, said: “Police are keen to speak with Sean Farley in relation to a serious assault that occurred in the city in 2011, anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact police at Strand Road or Crimestoppers.”

Inspector Burrows said that officers had difficulty locating the 30 year-old man but added that “it is believed he is still residing in the city”. “Anyone who sees Sean Farley should call 999 immediately,” he said.

Police are urging anyone with information on the man’s whereabouts to call the Contact Management Centre on 0845 600 8000 or charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111’.

Operation Relentless was launched last October and police say the initiative led to the arrests of many alleged offenders they wanted to speak to in relation to crimes committed in Derry.
