Robinson gloats over Man Utd - McGuinness

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has revealed that First Minister Peter Robinson "gloats" every time Manchester United are beaten.

The Sinn Fin MP and lifelong Man Utd supporter said Mr Robinson is a Tottenham Hotspur and occasional Chelsea fan and likes to tease him when the red devils lose.

He made the remarks to school pupils who were interviewing him in Stormont this week. "He sort of gloats about it which I don't like. But I'm still confident that United will win the Premiership this year and probably the Champions League as well, with Chelsea trailing behind them. Don't say that to Peter," he said.

Mr McGuinness was also asked what he would have done if had not entered politics. ''That's a big question. It's hard to know what I would be if things had have been different. I think I would have liked to be involved in the teaching profession," he said.
