Seagate closure threat

Workers at Seagate in Limavady will find out this afternoon if their jobs are under threat.

Management at the County Derry plant will meet with workers at 3pm this afternoon.

There is speculation amongst some quarters of the workforce that a share of the plant's work will be moved to Malaysia.

Seagate has refused to comment on the plant's future.

DUP M.P Gregory Campbell said he intended to meet with Seagate's management.

"This is one of the biggest manufacturing investments we have in the North West, he said.

"Its closure would have a dramatic impact."
