Security alert in Strabane

British army bomb experts are on their way to the scene of a security alert in Strabane.

Police say British Army Technical officers (ATO) have been tasked to Bradley Way in the Co Tyrone town.

“Police are currently in attendance at a security alert at Bradley Way, adjacent to bridge in Strabane. Traffic is currently being diverted through the town away from the Bypass,” a PSNI spokeswoman says.

“ATO have been tasked.”

She says there are no further details at this stage.
