Seized goods go to Derry charities

Police in Derry have donated seized goods and toys to charity shops in Derry City Centre.

Police donated items that were seized in the commission of crime, where the victims cannot be identified. A large selection of childrens toys, clothing, jewellery and electrial items were delivered to Barnardos, Oxfam, Saint Vincent de Paul and Action Cancer.

Neighbourhood Constable John Bannon said: “We consider it highly appropriate to give back to the community and constantly look at ways to support our local community and organisations within it. This will be an ongoing initiative and we hope to continue to donate more goods throughout next year.

Any charity shop that would like to receive donated goods is asked to contact City Centre Neighbourhood Team at Strand Road station on 0845 600 8000.
