Motorists in Derry have been warned about traffic disruption when work resumes on the Pennyburn Road roundabout next week.

Work will get underway on the finals stage of the Sewer Improvement Work on the Pennyburn Road on Monday, October 8 and will run until November 24.

NI Water say there will be “an element of disruption.”

“As with all work of this nature, there will be an element of disruption as the inside lane on the roundabout and an approach lane on each branch of the roundabout (Culmore Road, Buncrana Road and Bay Road) will be closed from 09:30 to 15:30 Monday – Friday,” a spokeswoman says.

“Traffic flow will be restricted to one lane approaching the roundabout in all directions. Work within the confines of the roundabout will be carried out during normal working hours to minimise noise and disruption to local residents.”

Any queries should be directed to NI Water’s Waterline on 08457 440088.
