These are the chaotic scenes in Derry’s JJB Sports store yesterday.

Journal reporter Andrew Quinn captured the footage as hundreds of bargain hunters descended on the Strand Road store.

On Monday it was announced the store was one of 20 JJB shops to stay open as part of a sale to Sports Direct.

Police were called to JJB’s Strand Road store on Monday evening and a 29-year-old man was cautioned for disorderly behaviour as the closing down sale got underway.

The other Derry store at the Richmond Centre is to close with the loss of 15 jobs.
