Woman in serious condition after RTC

A 56-year old woman remains in a serious condition in hospital following a road traffic collision on the outskirts of Derry.

Police have appealed for information following the collision on the the Victoria Road between Magheramason and Newbuildings yesterday (Nov 29) that initially left four people in hospital.

“At around 4.40pm a white Ford Transit van and a red Peugeot 106 were involved in the collision. Four people were taken to hospital and a 56 yr-old woman remains in a stable but serious condition,” a PSNI spokeswoman says.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or was travelling on the road at the time and may have information to contact Police at Strand Road station on 0845 600 8000 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
