Woman seriously injured following road crash

Derry’s Foyle Road has been sealed off following what police are describing as a serious road traffic collision which occurred early this morning near the Star Factory apartments.

A police spokesperson said: “A woman has been taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries. It is anticipated the road will remain closed for several hours and diversions are in place.”

There are no further details at present although it’s thought the woman’s family have been informed and are currently at her bedside.
