Magee to host Trad Music Conference

The University of Ulster, Magee campus, is proud to host the annual conference of the International Council of Traditional Music (Ireland) from Friday, February 18 until Sunday, February 20.

The occasion will see the presentation of over twenty scholarly papers from all over Ireland, Europe and beyond, focusing on the theme of ‘listening’. The conference will be based at the School of Creative Arts, Magee campus with registration taking place this Friday, February 18, at 4pm.

The keynote lecture will be held in the Great Hall, Magee campus at 6.30pm on Saturday, February 19.

As part of the weekend’s activities, two traditional music sessions will be held at Tracy’s Bar, William Street (Friday, February 18, at 10.30pm) and at The Tower Hotel, Butcher Street (Saturday, February 19, at 10.30pm).
