A Limavady man has admitted inciting three teenage girls to engage in sexual activity.

Scott Joseph Tootill, whose address was given on court papers as c/o Maghaberry, initially denied a total of six sex offences between March 21 and March 25, 2011.

A trial had been listed at Derry Crown Court for next week, however earlier today defence QC Billy McCrory applied for the 23-year-old to be re-arraigned.

Tootill pleaded guilty to three charges of inciting the girls to engage in sexual activity.

He also admitted two charges of attempting to arrange child prostitution or pornography.

The charges relate to a fake model agency website set up by the defendant.

A further charge of sexual assault was “left on the books”.

Sentencing was adjourned for a probation pre-sentence report to be compiled.

Tootill was remanded in custody and ordered to sign the sex offenders register.

He will appear in court again next month.
