Man arrested at airport due in court on drug charges

A man is due in court in Derry today in connection with alleged drug-related offences after being arrested at the International Airport in Antrim.

The PSNI have said that officers from Local Policing Team Five at Strand Road in Derry have charged a 24-year-old man with a number of drug related offences.

He is due to appear before Derry Magistrate’s Court today (Friday).

As is normal the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

It is understood the man was arrested at the Airport in Antrim on Thursday afternoon.
