It was match of the day as Linfield FC player Stephen Lowry from Limavady kicked off married life tying the knot in front of loved ones on Friday.

Stephen (28), the son of Ken and Clare Lowry, married his fiancée Camilla Rodgers - the daughter of Bobby and Lesley Rodgers - at Christ Church in Limavady.

The ceremony - officiated by Canon Sam McVeigh and Monsignor Bryan McCanny - was attended by players from several teams, including Stephen’s former club, Coleraine FC.

Also wishing the newlyweds well were players from Roe Valley and Limavady United. By Stephen’s side as best man, making sure everything ran smoothly, was younger brother Philip, who plays for Derry City FC.

The happy couple are enjoying a honeymoon in New York and Barbados.
