A day of free family fun and exploration will take place at the newly refurbished Guildhall on Sunday, 21 from 1pm-4pm.

Hailed as a chance to discover the beauty of the restored building, the hallways will become a hive of children’s activity with the chance for young and old to explore the space and recent transformation, highlighting the message that the building belongs to every local, citizens and visitor of the city.

Extending an open invitation, the Mayor said the day was a perfect opportunity for all to come visit the building either for the first time or to discover something new:

The Free Family Fun Day will be supported by Macmillan Cancer offering a range of puppet shows, face painting, balloon modelling and arts and crafts, where children can meet a range of colourful characters from the past and have an opportunity to explore throughout the building.
