Mayor to celebrate Christmas in song

The Guildhall will be filled with music and song on Sunday night local choirs and musicians come together to stage the Mayor’s Christmas in Song Concert, the perfect way to get into the festive spirit.

The concert will feature some of the city’s finest singers, including the Music Promise Junior and Youth Choirs, Codetta, orchestra and soloists, promising a fun-filled night of family entertainment.

Set in the beautiful surrounds of the newly refurbished Guildhall, the concert provides the ideal opportunity to enjoy a traditional Christmas celebration performed in one of the city’s most iconic and historic buildings.

Looking forward to the event Mayor Councillor Martin Reilly said: “I am delighted to get the opportunity to host a traditional Christmas Concert, which promises to be one of the highlights of the many family festive events organized by Derry City Council and partners this Christmas”

The concert will take place at 8pm on Sunday December 22. It’s expected that demand for tickets will be high, so book early. Tickets are priced at £8, concessionary rate £4 plus a booking fee of £1.50 and are available through the Millennium Forum Box Office at (028) 71264455.
