Sinn Féin Councillor Dermot Nicholl will meet with BT this week to discuss a lack of broadband coverage in some rural areas.
Colr. Nicholl said: “Myself along with my party colleagues Cathal Ó hOisín and Caoimhe Archibald will meet with representatives of BT to discuss the lack of broadband coverage. In particular Glack, Ballerin and Glenullin have been brought to our attention among others.”
“I would encourage people to contact me or my colleagues with postcodes which are also affected which I can then pass onto BT where we will hopefully see some progress on this issue.”
He added: “We will follow up on this initial meeting to ensure progress is being made. This is part of Sinn Féin and the DARD minister Michelle O’Neill’s commitment to rural areas as we have campaigned hard on this issue both locally and nationally for a long time now.”
