A Sinn Féin councillor says there’s a real danger youths firing ‘muck bombs’ at houses and cars in Hazelbank are going to cause an accident.
Councillor Eric McGinley, was speaking outside a vacant property in the area, which was completely splattered with muck this week.
“In recent times a small number of young people have been using pipes to throw muck at passing cars and houses in the Hazelbank area,” he said.
“Apart from the mess which has been created - as seen at one particular property - there is a very real danger that an accident will occur if passing cars are struck by this debris.
“I would call on young people not to engage in this type of activity and I would also ask parents to ensure that they are aware of their children’s whereabouts and to impress on them the dangers of their actions.”
