Muff Hall’s 60th birthday bash

A Coffee Morning in memory of Georgia Doherty (Saddler) Redcastle, who was sadly killed in a car accident in February, will be held in St. Mary’s Community Hall this Sunday, 3rd May from 12 noon until 3pm. Your support for this fundraiser would be much appreciated.

Members of Muff ICA recently spent 5 days at the Adult Education College, Termonfeckin, Co. Louth. They reported on their visit at Tuesday’s monthly meeting and according to everyone a great time was had by all. Congratulations to Carol Lynch, who received her Teacher’s Diploma for Handcrafts. The competition for the prettiest floral arrangement was won by Ann McLaughlin with Sue Lynch a close second. Members are at present knitting ‘Fish and Chip’ Jumper/Vest for new born babies in Malawi. who are sent home from hospital wrapped in paper(hence the name) ‘Fish and Chip’ babies. The raffle was won by Marie Doherty. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday 19th May at 8pm. New members most welcome.

Quigley’s Point Ceili Club is holding a Ceili to-night in St. Mary’s Community Hall with dancing from 9pm-12. Music by the Cottage Ceili Band. Admission 5 euro including supper.

Tullagh Bay Equestrian Centre is holding its Annual Charity Family Fun Day in aid of Donegal Hospice, Buddy Bears and a Local Charity this Sunday from 12 noon to 5pm. Live music all day and plenty of fun and games for the kids. So come along for a great family fun day out and support three great charities

Anniversary Masses this weekend - Iskaheen tonight at 7.30pm for Aisling Curran; Muff at 6.30pm tomorrow night for Siobhan Hutcheon on the first anniversary of her death; Sunday at 9am for Eileen Strain; Muff on Sunday at 11.30am for Sarah McGrath.

The amount raised for Trocaire was 4,425 euro and £1,100. Thanks for your generous support.

A Safe Guarding Children information evening will be held in Quigley’s Point Community Centre on Thursday, 7th May at 7.30pm. All welcome but it is essential those who work with children in a church setting attend this meeting.

The AGM of Muff Community Development Co-op will take place in the Cellar,Muff Community Hall next Wednesday 6th May at 8pm. All welcome. Membership of the Co.op is open and information and application forms are available at the Resource Centre on 9384572.

There will be a fund raising Quiz in Callaghan’s Bar, Quigley’s Point on Friday 15th May, 20 euro team of 4. All proceeds going to the Children’s Playpark, Muff.

The Apostolic Workers are holding their monthly meeting next Tuesday, 5th May in Warren View Manor at 8.00pm.

Men on the Move programme will begin with a walk leaving St.Mary’s Community Hall at 6.30pm on Tuesday 5th May.The weekly programme will alternate between walking and light indoor circuit training. New members welcome.
