Derry singing sensation Nadine Coyle has reportedly set her sights on conquering the American music industry.

Nadine, who has been based in California with her family for a number of years, has announced that she will be releasing her next single in the US this summer.

She made the revelation on the social networking site Twitter by posting “news flash” along with a link to a press release.

It came the same weekend as her former band mate Cheryl Cole was coming home from America, after being sacked from the American version of X-Factor.

This has led a number of celebrity gossip websites to claim that Nadine’s plans will rub salt in the wounds of Cole.

She will not release her debut UK solo single “Insatiable” in the US, instead choosing to release a song called “Runnin.”

“Insatiable” was voted as the fourth best song of the year at the Virgin Media Music Awards at a ceremony earlier this year.

Representatives acting for Nadine released a statement saying she is “proud to introduce a sneak preview of the summer smash ‘Runnin’’ to US audiences and clubs.

“Nadine is currently in the studio with hot DJ/producer Duo Vito Fun & Damian Major collaborating on new club remixes.”

The statement told US press that Coyle is “most famously known for being the lead singer of the Guinness World Records-acclaimed pop group Girls Aloud.”

Nadine’s debut solo single ‘Insatiable’, which was also the name of her album, received a poor response in the UK, reaching number 26 in the charts, while her second single ‘Put Your Hands Up’ was ‘put on hold’ in February, and is still due to be released.

A source who claims to be close to the singer said: “ Nadine’s refusing to give up on her dream. She reckons she’ll have more chance in the States, where talent and singing ability count. Her life’s in America now and she’d happily never return to the UK after such a hostile reception.”

Many of Nadine’s family including her parents Niall and Lilian now live in the US close to Nadine.
