Sinn Fein will give a facelift to its constituency office on the Racecourse Road.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Sinn Fein setting up an office in the area and local councillor Sandra Duffy said the decision to “modernise” the facility was long overdue.

“It is very important that we modernise and update our facility on the Racecourse Road so that we can enhance our constituency services.

“This year will mark the 40th Anniversary of Sinn Féin setting up this service in the locality,” said Colr. Duffy.

Colr. Duffy added:

“The area has grown vastly since 1975 with a rising population of over 30,000 people which stretches from the Buncrana Road right down to the border near Culmore and Muff. It’s important to have such facilities located right in the heart of the community with easy access. We are hoping that the work will be fully completed within the next few weeks.”
