Sinn Féin Councillor Elisha McCallion has called on people living and working in the greater Galliagh area to take part in a public consultation which will be taking place next week to explore the potential for a new community centre based in Galliagh.
Colr. McCallion said it was vital that the public make themselves heard during the consultation and said a new community centre would be fantastic for the area.
“I would urge as many people as possible to try and get along to this consultation and have their say on what they think should be a suitable site for a new community centre in Galliagh.
“I also want them to have their say on what they would like to see in the new community centre.
“A lot of good work goes on in the area on a day and daily basis and this has been complemented with the various rummaging and environmental projects which have taken place over the past few years.”
The public consultation will take place on Wednesday November 26, 2014 in St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Galliagh from 2:30pm to 4:30pm and 5:30 pm to 7:30pm.
Everyone is welcome.
