New high intensity training class

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) & Kettlebell classes coming soon to Quigley’s Point Community Centre. on Wednesday evenings from 7:45pm-8:30pm, starting 5th November. Kettlebell classes will start Tuesdays 11-12pm, and Thursdays 12:30pm-1:30pm, subject to demand. Cost is 5 euro per class, but loyalty card available for discounted rates. Quigley’s Point Community Playgroup is hosting a fundraising cinema night in Quigley’s Point Community Centre tomorrow from 5pm to 6:30pm. The movie will be Monsters Inc. Cost is 3 euro. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children to come in pyjamas and bring a cushion/blanket.

aid ofA halloween themed Radioactive Disco will take place on Thursday 30th October at Quigley’s Point Community Centre. Junior Disco (Primary school children) will take place from 7:30pm-9pm (admission 3 euro), and Teen Disco (secondary school students) from 9:30pm-11:30pm (admission 5 euro).

A Halloween Fundraiser will be held in McGowan’s Bar on Sunday night October 26th to raise money to refurbish the picnic area at Redcastle Cottages. Redcastle Village Development is inviting teams of two to take part in a series of events including play your cards right and pool which kick off at 6pm. A cover price of 10 euro per team will apply for the bar-olympics which will also include a quick fire quiz. A registration sheet is available in McGowan’s and would-be participants are asked to put their names down before the event. Great prizes are guaranteed on the night. Earlier in the day, a kiddies fancy dress disco will take place in McGowan’s between 2pm and 4pm. Light refreshments will be served. A donation jar will be available and donations are welcome. All money raised will go to resurfacing the picnic area, putting in benches and a barbeque as well as providing fencing and bins.

Redcastle Football Club first team team won 6-2 away to Carrowmena on Sunday, Terry Mc Colgan 3, Aidan Cunningham 2, and Declan Logue got the goals. The Reserves drew 1-1 away to Carrowmena, Stephen Mc Cauley scored .The Football club and the RCD would like to thank every one who made a contribution to the recent Stars in their Eyes, contestants, sponsors, and committee members and everyone who turned up to support the event on the night.
