New junior choir for Inishowen

Do you love singing? Do you want to have fun learning new songs? Are you eager to perform in great venues? Donegal Music Education Partnership is establishing a new Junior Choir in Carndonagh to cover the Inishowen area. Suitable for young singers at all levels, membership is open to children between the ages of 7 and 12 years.  The Donegal Junior Choirs cover many different styles of music from classical and folk to arrangements of favourite pop songs. The choir is led by Siobhan Shiels and will meet weekly on a Wednesday evening from 7–8pm in Unit 5 of Carndonagh Community School.(Use the back entrance). Vintage kitchen props wanted for forthcoming stage play by Derry playwright, Brian Foster. A decent price will be paid for any of the following from the 1930s -1960s era - an old cooker, an old washing machine. an old fridge. Freestanding kitchen/larder units (type with glass or formica doors would be ideal). One or more old wooden kitchen chairs. An old ironing board. An old bicycle. There was no winner of the 2,800 euro jackpot in the Carrowmenagh FC Lotto last Sunday. Numbers drawn were: 6, 7, 17, 21. 20 euro winners were: Anne Marie Gillen Malin Rd, Moville, Danny Mc Laughlin Lecamy, Pippa and Finn c/o Paul Duffy. The jackpot now stands at 2,900 euro.The next draw will take place next Sunday 28th October in Rawdon’s bar.

Inishowen Rural Transport (IRT) are recruiting volunteers for a Volunteer car scheme.  This service is aimed at over 65s or free travel pass holders who are experiencing difficulty in sourcing transport to access pre-arranged non-emergency medical appointments, local or Letterkenny General Hospital.
