The Manager of Foyleside Shopping Centre says he’s delighted that the store has created between 25 and 30 new jobs over the past two weeks with the opening of two high street fashion chains.

Hot on the heels of UK retailer Vogue, which opened its doors last week, popular fashion chain Jane Norman opened its doors to the Derry public on Friday.

With only one unoccupied space now remaining in the centre, manager Fergal Rafferty says another store opening is “imminent.”

Welcoming the most recent additions, he told the Sunday Journal: “We’re absolutely delighted that these companies have chosen Foyleside as their location in the city centre. Both Vogue and Jane Norman are names who are currently not represented on the Derry high street and seeing a gap in the market for their products here they’ve decided to open stores which is very positive news in the midst of the economic recession.”

Mr. Rafferty said he was looking forward to a busy Easter at the centre.

“We’re expecting the next two weeks to be exceptionally busy, with the early warm weather our Spring-Summer ranges are now very popular in store and there’s a great buzz around the centre.”
