He said: “We opened last Friday and feedback has been very, very positive. The show is very good, it’s bigger and better than last year and it is back in Ebrington again at the Officers’ Mess building, which is a great location.

“We also have the fun fair opening at Ebrington Square today with bigger and better rides there this year.”

Speaking aobut Derry at Halloween, Mr Magee added: “Derry has been named top Hallowe’en destination in the world, which is incredible. Derry really embraces Hallowe’en. It was unbelievable last year, which was our first experience as we are from the south. We were just bowled over.

“If you come here once for Hallowe’en you will want to come back every year.”

Chateau Le Fear opens at 6pm tonight and from 5pm daily from tomorrow, Saturday, right through to Sunday November 1.The Hallowe’en Fair will open at 2pm each day from today.
