Dozens of Derry fans have been left devastated after One Direction cancelled their Belfast concert at the last minute.
The concert was cancelled at 9pm tonight after Liam Payne was taken ill.
The three other band members didn’t take to the stage.
One Derry Dad who travelled to Belfast tonight said the whole thing was a disgrace.
He revealed that he and his daughter didn’t know the band would not be performing until they were inside the SSE arena.
Many of the fans at tonight’s concert were young girls, many had been waiting for this concert since they got tickets as presents on Christmas day.
The band were due on stage at about 8.30pm at the SSE Arena on Tuesday, but singer Liam Payne fell ill.
In a statement, Aiken PR said: “The show tonight has been cancelled as Liam has taken ill, and whilst not serious, he is unable to perform tonight.”
Fans have been asked to hold on to their tickets and await information.
“A further statement will be made in the morning. The band apologise to the fans and wish Liam better,” the statement added.
