Packed Festival programme

Remember that Muff Festival kicks off tonight with Mayor’s Parade from 7.00pm at St.Mary’s Community Hall-

Marching Bands and Community Floats, Celine Reddin Memorial Cup for Overall Winner, also Muff Festival Queen candidates accompanied by escorts. The final of the ‘Tile Image’ Queen will be held in the Squealin’ Pig lounge. Music be Rio Country. Admission 5 euro/£5. Main prize 200 euro.

The Festival continues over the week-end with countless activities both in the festival field and other venues. Don’t forget the outdoor Ceili on Sunday night in the Squealin’ Pig car park at 9pm. This Ceili and Social evening is being run in conjunction with Muff Festival and all ages catered for. Admission free.

Then on the final night of the festival on Monday, 6th a concert will take place in McKenna’s car park Main Street from 8-10pm featuring Stringfellas, Cookie & The Monsters plus special guests. Admission 3 euro.

Moville Presbyterian church annual garden fete on Saturday 11th August from 2-4pm. All welcome.

A Fundraising Ceili and Old Tyme dance will be held on Thursday 9th August in memory of Bernadette McColgan at the ‘wee house’, Magheramore, Carndonagh with dancing from 9pm to midnight. Music by John McGeogan, Dennis McGuinness, and Joe Henry. Supper, teas and sandwiches. Donation 5 euro and all proceeds to Donegal Centre for Independent Living, Letterkenny. (DCIL)
