Strathfoyle reisdents this week unveiled a packed summer schedule in their summer 2014 community newsletter.

The newsletter has been developed by all local youth and community groups working in partnership through the Northern Ireland Housing Executive Shared Communities Programme.

Ann Gormley representing Enagh Youth Forum said “There is lots do this summer, if you are aged 10-25 why not get involved in our youth summer scheme and take part in many outdoor activities and courses.”

Eddie Breslin, Community Cohesion Officer with the NIHE said: “The NIHE are pleased to support this initiative and believe that this newsletter strongly highlights the good work that is being carried out in the local community as well as informing residents of up coming activities and events which they will hopefully come out and take part in over the coming months.”

The newsletter highlights events for the months of July, August & September. Key dates include this year’s annual community festival organised by the Strathfoyle Community Association which will take place from July 21-27 2014. There are also a number of positive outdoor pursuits organised by the Enagh Youth Forum through the Breakout Project which will include Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Horse Riding and much more. Meanwhile the newsletter also includes a packed full time table of new and exciting courses organised by the Strathfoyle Women’s Activity Group which will commence in September. Alex Duffy chairperson of SCA said ‘This years annual community festival promises to be bigger and better, with loads on offer.”
