Paddy Nash and the Happy Enchiladas will be in Magilligan next weekend for the Christmas tree lights switch-on.
The event is scheduled to take place on 16th December at 7pm at the Community Centre on Seacoast Road.
Chairperson of the Magilligan Community Association, Cathal McLaughlin told the ‘Journal’: “Father Christmas told me that he received such a warm welcome from the Magilligan children last year that as a treat he is bringing along a very special friend of his, Paddy Nash and his band the Happy Enchiladas.
“Paddy and the band will join the primary school children choir in singing Christmas carols.
“Last summer Paddy played at the Glastonbury Festival and has just completed a tour with Billy Bragg so we are delighted to have them in Magilligan.
“Santa also let me into a secret that Magilligan is the most favourite place in the world for his reindeers.
“This is because they love the wonderful carrots that Magilligan is so famous for!”
“All the local farmers will club together to ensure there are plenty of Magilligan carrots for Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupit, Donder and Blixen,” continued Me McLaughlin.
“Santa will have a gift for every child and a bowl of hot soup for mums and dads.
“On behalf of the management committee and the entire community I would like to thank Limavady Borough Council for providing the Christmas tree and sponsoring the event.”
