Students from throughout the Roe Valley are among hundreds of young people to sign the ‘Peace Scroll’ as part of a record breaking attempt with a difference.

The scroll is the brainchild of Reverend David Latimer who wants to create the world’s largest ever pledge for peace - which he hopes will be signed by all children from the city. A total of 226 schools and colleges have produced twenty-five word peace pledges, which essentially express what young people consider we all should be doing so as to live better together. The scroll was taken to the NWRC Limavady where Campus Manager,Norah Canny, enthusiastically embraced this initiative permitting hundreds of other students to add their names to the scroll.
