Pebbles’ Polkadot dance raises 2,000 euro

Foyle Pebbles Pre-School would like to say a massive thank you to all who generously donated prizes, supported, participated, sponsored and helped in any way in their fundraising dance at the Point Inn, Quigley’s Point on St Valentine’s night. The theme was Quiff and Polkadots with many patrons adorning themselves in 1950s costumes. A great night had by all and the €2000 will go towards continuing development at the pre-school. An open day will be advertised soon and enrolement for September is ongoing.

A registration form can be obtained by calling into the playschool or by contacting on 074 9383661 weekdays between 9.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. ECCE and CCS schemes approved.

The Drung parish draw has now finished and will resume again soon.

In a recent game against Cockhill, Recastle Football Club’s Peter Breslin Suffered a serious injury and the football club and its supporters would like to take this opportunity to wish Peter a full and speedy recovery and hope to see him back in Foyle Park again in the near future, Best wishes from everybody Peter. The first team’s game was off on Sunday. The reserve team lost 4-2 at home to Cockhill reserves , Michael Bonner got both goals. .This years Underage registration day is on Saturday the 28th of February from 11am to 1pm in the club-house, the fee is 10 euro per player. This money goes directly to the youth league for player registration. Underage football is currently running in the Community Center ;the times and classes are, Wednesday’s 5pm to 630; 5th and 6th class . Friday’s 630pm to 745, 1st and 2nd class. Tuesday’s 6pm to 715,junior and senior infants and 730 to 845 3rd and 4th class.

Moville celebrates 25 years of St Patricks Day parades this year. An open invite is extended to all along the Foyle to take part in the parade this year

It’s good advertising for your organisation or business. Loads of marching bands will be present and the John McNicholl Showband will be performing in the Square.

No need to register floats whether on transport or on foot.We are appealing to everyone to show their support on the day. Wear a Lucky shamrock and take part in the draw.Parade at 2.30pm sharp so come early to avoid delays.

Former Muff Accordion Band are requested to return their uniforms as they are urgently required they can be left any Thursday night in the hall or in the Resource Centre during day time.

The Donegal Federation Irish Countrywomen’s Association is hosting a Concert and Fun Night in the Mount Errigal Hote, Letterkenny next Thursday 5th March at 8 p.m.  Proceeds will go to An Grainan Adult Education College. 

Admission is €5 (pay at the door) and there will be a raffle on the night.  Come along and enjoy the craic.
