SDLP MLA Mary Bradley has urged the North’s ministers to take a leaf out of her party colleague Alex Attwood’s book.
She said there was much to be learned from the DSD minister’s handling of problems in Housing Executive properties over the Christmas period. “He briefed the DSD Committee on the Housing Executive’s entire response to the crisis. His briefing was detailed and thorough, and highlighted ways in which the service procedures were deemed to be open to improvement. “Had the Minister for Regional Development Conor Murphy taken a similar stance, the Northern Ireland Water saga could have been different.”
