Bark in the Park is back!
Foyle Hospice’s Bark in the Park, a sponsored dog walk, will take place on Sunday 8th May 2011 at St. Columb’s Park, Limavady Road, at 2pm.
Speaking at the recent launch of the event at Pets At Home – sponsors of the event – Rachel Bruce, Community Fundraiser said, “We are delighted to announce details of the forthcoming ‘Bark in the Park’ event on Sunday 8th May. Last years Bark in the Park was a huge success with more than 150 dogs taking part.
“We are appealing to all dog lovers to come along and support the hospice, whilst at the same time taking their ‘four legged’ friends for a leisurely stroll around St Columb’s Park.
“I am also very pleased to welcome Pets At Home on board this year as sponsors of the event and look forward to working with their team in the lead up to Bark in the Park.
“There will be a certificate and goodie bag for all pre-registered participants on the day.
“The Hospice depends heavily on the support of the local community with all money raised remaining here in the community. It costs approximately £6000 per day for Hospice to continue to provide specialised palliative care services to patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses as well as support services to family members and loved ones.
Anyone interested in participating can request a registration form and sponsor form by contacting Foyle Hospice Fundraising Centre on Tel: (028) 71359888 or email email@example.com OR Pets At Home, Crescent Link Retail Park.
