Pressure must remain

Donegal County Councillor Albert Doherty said local and public representatives must continue that “pressure remains constant on Government” over Mica homes to “ensure this serious issue receives the full attention thus merits.

He added the meeting held earlier this week and the promise of further early meetings between department senior officials and Junior Minister Paudie Coffey will “present as a small windows of hope and consolation for the many affected householders in Donegal.”

He added the meeting was a “positive first step” and followed the recent unanimous council support and a public meeting.
