A local project has helped educate more than 13,000 disadvantaged women.
Strathfoyle Women’s Centre is involved in a major ‘Live and Learn’ five year project set up to provide adult learning for women in disadvantaged areas across Northern Ireland.
Deirdre O’Hara, Educational Co-ordinator at Strathfoyle commented: “Live and Learn is a brilliant project. These events not only support prevention and early detection but encourage women to consider a healthier lifestyle, which is very important to both our physical and mental wellbeing. The events have also been successful in attracting new women to our courses.”
