Sam Duncan’s kids Sophie and Lauren are thrilled with their dad’s efforts after he raised more than £900 for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice through taking part in the gruelling Ballyliffin Coastal Challenge in County Donegal earlier in the year.

Along with his son Kyle, Sam completed the 10 miles round the Isle of Doagh, finishing on the stunning Pollan Beach, raising a grand total of £907.21 for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

Speaking to the Journal, Sam said: “Completing the Challenge itself was extremely difficult but, supported by Kyle, I was delighted to complete the 10 miles raising more than £900 for the vital work of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. These much-needed funds will enable the Children’s Hospice to care for children and young people in this local community, so I’m delighted to be able to help.”
