PSNI invesitgating Woodbrook burglary

Police are investigating a burglary at a property in the Woodbrook area of Derry in the early hours of Sunday June 8.

At around 2.30am it was reported that a property in the area had been entered and a quantity of cash and two handbags stolen. Keys for a mobile shop were also stolen. The mobile shop was also entered and a sum of cash and quantity of cigarettes stolen.

Two males aged 16 and 22 have been arrested and are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
