The world famous Red Arrows aerobatic display team will put on a show in Derry as part of the Clipper Homecoming Festival, the Journal can exclusively reveal.
The Derry date is now confirmed on the official Red Arrows calendar among the list of events where they will bring distinctive hawk jets, all flown by RAF pilots, this summer.
The display will take place in the city on Sunday, June 29, on the final day of the Clipper Homecoming Festival, as events draw to a close.
The Red Arrows are described on their website as “the public face of the Royal Air Force and are acknowledged as one of the world’s premier aerobatic teams. Within the UK, the Red Arrows exist to demonstrate the professional excellence of the Royal Air Force and promote recruitment to the Royal Air Force.”
