Rehearsals for The Relief of Derry Symphony at The Venue in Ebrington had to be suspended on Wednesday evening because of the atrocious weather conditions.
It’s understood slight damage was caused by the high winds and the rehearsal had to relocate to a nearby hotel.
The eagerly-awaited Relief of Derry performance will go ahead tonight as planned.
Meanwhile, the North West has been battered hard by wind, rain and wintry showers in the past 24 hours.
A number of households lost power as a result of the storms.
High winds sweeping across the countryside brought down trees with some roads flooded by heavy rain.
A number of roads have also been blocked by fallen trees.
5,000 homes in County Donegal were still without electricity this morning.
