‘Robinson Crusoe’ auditions tomorrow

The Buncrana Pantomime Society is holding auditions for children for this year’s production of ‘Robinson Crusoe’ in Scoil Iosagain tomorrow from 11am-1pm. Children must be aged between 6 and 10 years old.

The Christmas lights for the Main Street need to be replaced due to storm damage. It will be a costly job to replace bulbs and John Porter will be distributing donation boxes to all business premises in the town at the beginning of November. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated.

A Cockhill Bridge Community Protest will take place at 2pm tomorrow at Cockhill Bridge. The Elite dancing group, who will perform on the bridge, to highlight the need for a safe pedestrian footbridge at Cockhill. Please come along and join in the campaign.

A Table Quiz will be held at the Exchange, Castle Avenue on Wednesday 22nd October at 9 p.m. BYOB!

A Kid’s Halloween Disco for ages 3–8 will be held in The Exchange on Friday, 31st October from 2-4 p.m. For further details contact exchangeinishowen@gmail.com or 0749362572

The Annual Harvest Country Market will take place in the Church of Ireland Hall, Church Street tomorrow from 2–4 p.m.

A Car Boot sale will be held in Cockhill School Hall on 2nd November. Set up is at 10 a.m. and open to public 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tables must be booked so please telephone 9363177 after 6 p.m. Monday–Friday.

A ceili in Aid of St. Oran’s National School, Cockhill will be held this evening in the Community Hall, Cockhill with dancing from 9 p.m. - 12 midnight. Music by Cottage Ceili Band. Adm €5.00 and includes tea.

In the Sliabh Sneacht Heritage Centre, Drumfries John and Jean’s beginners’ dancing classes have now started on Thursdays from 8.30 - 10 p.m. Dancing will include social, modern, old time and two hand. All welcome. On Sunday 26th from 8 – 10 p.m. there will be a showcase of local talent and this promises to be an evening of great entertaimnet.
