Classic Saturday Films continue at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre/ Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró, Limavady with the screening of courtroom classic 12 Angry Men on Saturday 11 October at 2pm.

Henry Fonda plays one of twelve jury members tasked with assessing the guilt of an 18 year old young man from a slum accused of stabbing his father. In contrast to the others, who, preoccupied with their own lives and prejudices, seem quick to judge the boy guilty, Fonda provides the one dissenting voice which questions the beliefs, backgrounds and opinions of his fellow jurors.

Full of suspense, this edge of your seat drama has achieved critical acclaim since its year of release in 1957, garnering international awards and cited within many Best Films of All Time charts. Directed by Sidney Lumet, the film boasts an all-star cast and is one of leading film critic’s Roger Ebert’s ‘Great Movies’ of all time. This is definitely one film which everyone should see once in their lifetime!
