This is a special notice to all children to say that Santa will be in St. Mary’s Community Hall, Muff on Sunday 7th December, please have your letters ready to give to him in good time for Christmas. There will also be a Rickety Wheel, the Accordion Band will be in attendance and plenty of bargains to be

had. All proceeds to the Missions. The raffle will also take place for the 100 euro Hamper, Homemade

Christmas Cake, and Tin of Sweets. Tickets cost 2 euro for a stril and are on sale from Apostolic members.

As the lambing season is upon us all dog owners are asked to make sure your dog is kept under control as every year at this time a large number of sheep and lambs are attacked by dogs who usually run in packs and your dog could be one of them. The loss to the farmer is colossal and you also run the risk of your pet dog being shot if found in a field worrying sheep.

Warren Manor is serving Sunday Lunch this weekend and a Christmas Lunch Party on 17th December from 12.30-2.30pm. Everyone welcome. Wednesday lunches continue as usual.

Santa will be in his Grotto at Muff Community Park on Thursday, 11th December at 6.30pm to meet the boys and girls for a photograph and a treat. Entertainment being provided by Muff Youth Accordion Band and carol singers. Yuletide refreshments will also be on offer. Admission €5/£5 per family. Proceeds to Muff Community Park.

The second church collection on 13/14th December is the annual St.Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal Collection. You are also invited to bring a toy or non perishable foodstuffs to distribute to

local families.

At the monthly meeting of Muff ICA presided over by the President Olive Parke, the guest speaker Linda Hughes gave a very graphic talk and picture show of her Missionary trip to Uganda. She was part of the Derry & Raphoe Missionary Group who organised the trip and members were inspired by her description of the real poverty and living conditions she found. What struck her most was in spite of their poverty these were happy people smiling and uncomplaining about their pain.

The competition for the best Handmade Christmas Card was won by Olive Parke, with Anne McLaughlin coming a close second.

Parish Draw winners were Ann McAteer, Kilderry, 300 euro, Shaun Robb, Grove Cottages, 200 euro, Kathleen Coyle, Grove Cottages £100 euro.

The Church Gate collection for Scoil Mhuire amounted to 141.71 euro and £37.31. Thanks for you support.
