Santa to stop off at the Scarvey

Santa will be in the Buncrana G.A. Club in the Scarvey tomorrow from 2.30 – 5 p.m. Five euro per child, max 20 euro per family. Everyone welcome.

The Nazareth House, Fahan is having a Salsa Night Fundraiser this evening from 7.30 – 9.30 p.m. The staff would like to thank everyone who came and supported their Coffee Morning on Friday, 5th December. The amount raised was 675 euro which will go towards the Residents’ Comfort Fund.

The final Inishowen Country Market of the year will be held tomorrow Saturday 20th December in the Church of Ireland Hall, Church Street from 2 – 3 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there. We would also like to thank all of our customers for their support and to wish them all a Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.

The real story of Christmas will take place at the end of 6 p.m. Mass tomorrow. The short performance will be inside after Mass and all are warmly encouraged to attend.

Carrowmenagh Community Centre is holding its annual Christmas concert on Sunday, 28th December at 8 p.m. All welcome.

This year the Redcastle New Year’s Day Swim 2015 is being hosted by the Redcastle Village Association in memory of John McGonagle. Registration from 12.30 p.m. and the swim will start at 1p.m. Suggested donation 10 euro individual/ 15 euro for family. Fancy Dress is optional but shoes are obligatory. Raffle tickets on sale now in the village and on the day. Refreshments and raffle will be held in McGowan’s Bar afterwards. See Facebook for further details.

The winner in the Credit Union’s grand draw for a Ford Fiesta which took place last Saturday was Aaron McGonigle, Pillar Park. Congratulations to Aaron.

Christmas bingo in the North West Golf Club will be held this Sunday 21st at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

A charity dance in aid of the New Wheelchair Access Mini Bus for James Connolly, Carn will be held on Sunday 28th December with music by Charlie’s Country Kitchen in the Strand Hotel. Ballyliffin. Dancing 10 p.m. - 2 a.m. A Buffet will be served at 11 p.m. Tickets 10 euro.

Carndonagh Drama Club will present a final night of the John B. Keane play ‘Many Young Men of Twenty’ on Sunday 11th January in the Colgan Hall in Carn. Proceeds in aid of local charity. All welcome.

Dunree Football Club is holding its annual ‘Night at the Races’ in the Laurentic Bar on St. Stephen’s Day, 26th December at 9 p.m. Dunree F.C. would like to thank everyone for their support during the year and wish everyone a Happy Christmas and Happy New Year.

Buncrana Leisure Centre will be closing the swimming pool to the public on Sunday 21st December, it will remain closed due to exploratory work being carried out before the renovations begin. The gym, shop and hall hire will remain open until work begins in March/April 2015.
