On a day which could prove a massively historic one not only for Scotland but for the future of the United Kingdom, local supporters of the YES campaign yesterday visibly showed their support for it by placing the Scottish saltire at Free Derry Corner as well as an assembly of them at the banking at Fahan Street spelling out the word YES.

Polling in the historic referendum began this morning at 7am and lasts until 10pm tonight. The result which may see Scotland leave the Union after more than 300 years is expected fairly early on Friday morning.
