If you’ve promised yourself that 2102 will see your professional writing debut - take a decisive step and join the first of this year’s Greater Shantallow Community Arts’ Page to Stage workshops.
That’s the advice of award-winning NW based playwright Felicity McCall, who’s delighted that the Arts Council of NI and GSCA are committed to running a series of workshops, free of charge, over the year.
The tried- and- tested workshops offer a unique chance for writers to develop by having selected scenes acted, directed and produced on stage. It’s a great opportunity for writers to share their work in a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere. The first Page to Stage sessions will be held on Saturday, January 28, and Saturday, February 4, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, in the Arc Theatre, Bloomfield, Galliagh. Writers are welcome to attend one, or both sessions. Tea, coffee and snacks are provided. Applicants should forward six pages of their play (by e-mail, if possible) to email@example.com; firstname.lastname@example.org - or bring six copies of the script on the day. Numbers are limited, so do book in advance. For more information or to book a place contact GSCA on: 71. 357443.
