Ladies shine bright in your t-shirt this year!
The all new Foyle Hospice Female Walk/Run is bigger, better and definitely brighter this year as the t-shirt is a vibrant shade we haven’t seen for 10 years so get registered now to get yours!
The Female Walk will take place on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 1.30pm and will start from Templemore Sports Complex with the finish line at Ebrington Square via the Peace Bridge.
This is the 14th annual Female Walk which has grown in popularity year by year.

Last year entries to the sponsored walk were around 5,000. Now this year the big push is on to increase those numbers even more!

The new route, which will commence at Templemore Sports Complex, travel along the Buncrana Road progressing onto Riverside Walk at Fort George and then crossing the Peace Bridge to finish at Ebrington Square, will hopefully be the incentive to all the ladies who have previously taken part to come out once again and for all those who haven’t yet joined the thousands of others supporting the Hospice to make this year their first!
Noel McMonagle, Community Fundraising Manger said: “As of next week the walk/run packs will be made up and collected so there is a great buzz down in the Fundraising Centre. The t-shirt colour is always hotly anticipated so we all hope the new shade goes down a storm with the ladies of the city and surrounding areas.

“Our aim is to reach that 5,000 mark and get as far over it as possible. I would also like to stress the importance of everybody’s sponsorship – we need our local community to know that every £1, £2, £5 or £20 makes such a huge difference. We offer in-patient care, day therapy, home care services and bereavement support. All our services are free of charge to those that avail of them throughout the North West region so this is why we depend so highly on community support. Once again I would like to extend thanks to our key sponsors; Seagate and the Derry Journal for their much valued support.”
The Female Walk will take place on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 1:30pm. It is approximately 3 miles.

Entry is £7. Entry and sponsorship forms available from Foyle Hospice Fundraising Centre, 61 Culmore Road, 028 71359888 or Foyle Hospice Shop, Waterloo Place (no packs will be supplied through shop). Further details can be found on the website www.foylehospice.com.
