‘Sink or Slim’ at Greenback Hall

A comedy play entitled ‘Sink or Slim’, by Sam Cree, and performed by Moy Craig Young Farmers, will be performed in Greenbank Hall, Quigleys Point, next Saturday 3rd March , commencing at 8pm. Admission 7.50 euro and under 12s 2.50 euro. All proceeds will go to Greenbank repair fund. Everyone welcome.

Quigley’s Point Community Playgroup is now enrolling for September 2012. The playgroup offers ECCE free pre-school year places and also CSS places, which offer reduced rates for families on social welfare. In the Drung parish draw last week 1st prize went to The Kerrigan Boys, promoter Margaret Doherty, 2nd - 100 euro - Mary Shiels, promoter Ann and Neil Toye, and 3rd - 50 euro - Packie Mc Gonagle, promoter Eileen Cregan.

The Spring programme 2012 for the Time in your Hands club at Greenbank Hall is as follows Thursday 1st March from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m - Bowls and Reflexology Free Movement, Thursday 8th March - Bowls, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., 15th March - Bowls and cooking for Easter, 22nd March - Bowls, and 29th March from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Bowls. So come along, have a cup of tea and get active.

There was no jackpot winner last week in the Quigleys Point community centre/R.C.D. Limited mini lotto draw. The winning numbers were 4,8,13,17, and the four 15 euro winners were Bob Mc Gonagle, Clar, c/o Bayview, Brenda Mc Gonagle, Clar, Edward Mc Gonagle, Clar, and Mary B. Doherty, Clar. The jackpot tonight will be 1850 euro.

Line dancing classes continue every Monday nightat Warren View Manor, Sheltered Housing,Muff, commencing at 8 p.m. All levels welcome and admission 5 euro per person.

Weekly Wednesday luncheons every Wednesday from 12.30 p.m. - 1.30 p.m. providing a beautiful 3 course lunch for just 5 euro. The next coffee morning will take place on Thursday 8th March at 10.30 a.m. Come along for a cup of coffee and have a chat. Everyone welcome.

Yoga and Pilates continue at Greenbank Hall - Pilates on Monday nights from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 5.30 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. Yoga on Thursday nights from 6.30 p.m. - 8 p.m. and from 8 p.m. - 9.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Irish classes for adults have resumed in St Mary’s community hall, Muff, on Tuesdays from 5.30 p.m. - 7 p.m. All levels are catered for and all are welcome.

This Sunday 26th February is the date set for the annual fundraising auction in St Mary’s Hall, Muff. The auction gives you an opportunity to clear out all un wanted items. As in all other years the committee would be happy to recieve all types of furniture, electrical goods, ornaments, lamps, dishes etc,. - the only exception is used mattresses.

Good Morning service Inishowen, which provides free telephone link service to older people, is

launching a service called The Friendly Face befriending scheme.This scheme will offer support and social contact to people living alone in the Inishowen area, in the form of a weekly visit.
