Sinn Fein to host meeting

Sinn Féin is to hold a major public meeting in Derry next week as part of a series of meetings across Ireland.

The party have a held a number of similar meetings in the past in the city with hundreds in attendance at the Guildhall and the Millennium Forum.

The first meeting in this series is to be held in the Waterfoot Hotel in Derry on Tuesday November 18 at 7:30pm.

“These are public meetings, open to everyone and the maximum effort needs to be put in to mobilise for each of them. No other party presents themselves in front of the public like this,” said Sinn Fein MLA for Foyle Raymond McCartney.

Gerry Adams TD, Mary Lou McDonald TD and Martin McGuinness MLA will each be addressing three of the meetings

Martin McGuinness will be the main speaker at the Derry meeting.
