Heavy snow in the Roe Valley forced a number of local schools to close on Tuesday while motorists faced treacherous conditions on the roads.

From Foreglen to Feeny and to Limavady, several inches of the white stuff fell and, for people living on higher ground, there was at least a foot of snow.
