The annual GAA Club Sports Day will be held this Sunday in Connolly Park. There will be races for all age groups and the usual side shows, not forgetting our now legendary ‘lamb racing’. Events get underway at 2pm with something for all the family. Proceeds of the event will go to the Donegal Cancer Bus. As part of the entertainment this year we will be running a “Country Queen” Competition. Local businesses will put forward a ‘lovely girl’ to represent them with each girl being put through a couple of fun tasks on the day to test their Country Queen eligibility. This will be rounded off with the winner being announced upstairs that night in the Clubhouse where there will also be live music to entertain everyone. Sure it’s a bit of craic - who wouldn’t want to be Malin GAA’s first ever Country Queen.
